The 62nd edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival has awarded Julia de Nunez as this year’s winner of The International Golden Nymph for Most Promising Talent. The award, which recognises the brilliant rising talent of an actor who has elevated the bar of excellence internationally, will be presented to her during the Opening Ceremony of the Festival on Friday, June 16.
The French actress has recently starred in biographical series Bardot as the iconic movie star. Written and directed by Danièle and Christopher Thompson, and produced by Judith Rochelois and Pascal Breton, the series has already been pre-sold worldwide by French producer and distributor Federation.
Laurent Puons, CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, commented: “This is an important accolade presented to a talent at the beginning of their career. I am delighted that Julia will be in Monaco to receive her International Golden Nymph for Most Promising Talent for her incredible performance as the iconic Brigitte Bardot. We are sure she will continue to excite and intrigue audiences for many years to come – and that she will remember our Festival as the event that recognised her international star potential from the outset.”
Julia de Nunez added: “I am very proud to receive this important Award and I would like to share it with all the people who joined me on this adventure. I would particularly like to thank the Thompsons for giving me the chance to work with them. I thank them and the production team for the opportunity to play such a role and for trusting me! I thank the Festival for honoring me in this special way.”
