US-based streamer Netflix has commissioned an Italian version of its rap music competition format Rhythm + Flow, with Fabri Fibra, Geolier and Rose Villain in the judging roles.
Rhythm + Flow was originally a Netflix US original, airing one season of 10 episodes with Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and TI as judges.
A French version called Nouvelle École premiered in June last year and aired on Netflix around Europe as Rhythm + Flow France.
Now Rhythm + Flow Italy will go in search of contestants that will leave their mark on the Italian rap scene, with a prize for the winner of €100,000 (US$107,000).
The eight-episode series is the first Italian adaptation of a Netflix format and an eight-episode series will premiere in 2024, produced locally by Fremantle.
The series will be produced by Dino Clemente, Matteo Lenardon, Paola Papa, Antonio Vicaretti and Chiara Guerra and directed by Alessio Muzi.
