RAI announces Rai 1’s Daytime Summer TV Schedule 2023
Today, RAI’s top management, represented by Angelo Mellone, Head of Daytime Entertainment, RAI, has announced the daytime summer TV schedule of the public service’s main channel.

Starting the press conference, Mellone stated the intentions of RAI’s summertime TV schedules: “Inform, entertain and educate are the pillars of public service. But inform, travel, play and educate are the pillars of summer TV schedules.” He also added that this summer the public broadcaster’s channels will allow viewers to discover Italy on a deeper level.

In the morning slot, Rai 1 will broadcast two main entertainment TV shows: UnoMattina Estate on weekdays, and Weekly during the weekend. UnoMattina Estate, the summer version of entertainment and lifestyle show UnoMattina, will feature Tiberio Timperi, Serena Autieri and Gigi Marzullo as hosts. Its spin-off, Weekly, will be hosted by Carolina Rey, Fabio Gallo and Giulia Bonaudi, with Rosanna Cacio and Roberto D’Alessio as correspondents. It will include features on vacation, tourism, customs and society. Along with UnoMattina Estate, also TG1 Mattina Estate is confirmed to air on the network’s weekly early morning schedule.

In the midday slot, starting June 19 at 12 p.m. from Monday to Friday, the flagship channel will air Camper in viaggio, an on-the-road TV show about the beauty our country holds, hosted by Tinto and Roberta Morise with Professor Umberto Broccoli. The show will be scheduled as a lead-in for Marcello Masi’s Camper, which will premiere on June 12 at 12:30 p.m. On Saturday, the show will be replaced by 30-year-old sea program Linea Blu, hosted by Donatella Bianchi, Fabio Gallo and Valentina Bisti; whereas on Sunday, Rai 1 will broadcast Linea Verda Estate, with Angela Rafanelli and Peppone Calabrese hosting.

Also, RAI’s main channel’s summer schedule will include Linea Verde Sentieri supported by CAI (Corpo Alpino Italiano) and hosted by Lino Zani, Margherita Granbassi and Gian Luca Gasca; and Linea Verde Explora, hosted by Federico Quaranta – the branded content features an epic, literary journey across Italy, in which viewers can discover the most remote and unknown places of our country. The summer schedule also includes other projects, such as Azzurro – Storie di Mare with Beppe Convertini, and much more to come.

The afternoon slot will include once again live TV show Estate in Diretta, where Gianluca Semprini and Nunzia De Girolamo talk about current events, also featuring insightful reports and light-hearted fun. Then, in the early fringe, from June 19 Rai 1 will see the return of acclaimed game show Reazione a Catena, with Marco Liorni hosting for the fifth year in a row. Mellone also confirms that there are plans to extend this season of the show until December.
