The show made its debut in Italy on Odeon TV hosted by Augusto “Casti” Mondelli. But it was with Mike Bongiorno that the whos became extremely popular, becoming a classic for Mediaset networks: from 1989 to 1996 it was broadcast on Canale 5, from 1996 to 2003 on Rete 4 and from 2007 to 2009 on Italia 1. On this lastly, however, the program passed into the hands of Enrico Papi.
Gerry Scotti will host Wheel of Fortune
Mediaset is working with Endemol Shine Italy for the new edition of the most famous quiz show: La Ruota della fortuna, inspired by the American Wheel of Fortune on NBC. The show distributed by Paramount will be broadcast by Canale 5 during the Christmas week and Gerry Scotti will be the host .
