Fremantle has announced the appointment of Annamaria Morelli as CEO of The Apartment and Sonia Rovai as CEO of Wildside. The collaboration with the new company created by Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli has been formalized. The two managers have left their respective roles as CEOs of Wildside and The Apartment and have signed a co-production agreement with the Fremantle group, involving several projects. Among those in production and post-production are Paolo Sorrentino's new film, "Limonov - The Ballad" by Kirill Serebrennikov, Luca Guadagnino's "Queer" starring Daniel Craig, Gabriele Mainetti's new film, Pablo Larraín's "Maria" starring Angelina Jolie, and the series "M. The Son of the Century" by Joe Wright and "The Monster" by Stefano Sollima.
Annamaria Morelli is a film and television producer with a background in Rai and Mediaset, having worked on successful Italian series. She has also worked on acclaimed films for Mediatrade and Cattleya and has curated the debut of many authors, including Paolo Sorrentino.
Sonia Rovai, born in Milan in 1975, has over 25 years of experience in the audiovisual sector. She has worked on entertainment productions for R.T.I. and contributed to the launch of international formats in Italy. She has held positions at La7 and Sky, where she oversaw original series production, including successful titles such as "Gomorrah," "The New Pope," and "Zero Zero Zero."
Since October 2023, Rovai has been the CEO of Wildside within the Fremantle group.
