The series, a spin-off of the original digital hit Bagman, tailored for the Filipino audience, seeks co-production partners and pre-sales opportunities. Ruel S. Bayani, Head of ABS-CBN's International Productions Division, spearheads the endeavor, accompanied by Tanya Bautista, Creative Producer for "The Bagman," and Lea Dizon, ABS-CBN's development executive based in LA.

Starring Arjo Atayde, reprising his role as Benjo Malaya from the original Bagman series, which earned him the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Actor, alongside John Arcilla and Judy Ann Santos, "The Bagman" promises gripping storytelling and compelling performances.

Initially streaming on Netflix Philippines, the original "Bagman" series delves into the narrative of Benjo Malaya, a neighborhood barber turned henchman for the governor, entangled in a labyrinth of crime, corruption, and political intrigue.

In The Bagman, convicted prisoner and ex-governor Benjo Malaya embarks on a harrowing journey to uncover the truth behind his family's disappearance, reluctantly reentering the treacherous world he once abandoned. Tasked as the Bagman for the Philippine president, Malaya endeavors to prevent a looming civil conflict.
