Red Zones is a captivating 4-part series crafted by acclaimed filmmaker Fredrick Gillingham, inviting audiences on an expedition into the depths of Earth's last wild frontiers. Despite the relentless march of modernization, these territories persist as enigmatic realms, defying conventional norms and existing beyond the reach of law and order.

Filmed amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Philippines, the pilot episode unveils a stark reality hidden behind the facade of tourist brochures. Along its coastlines, impoverished communities find themselves ensnared in perilous pursuits such as gold mining and wildlife trafficking, forced into these activities by sheer necessity, thereby perpetuating an underground economy and wreaking havoc on the delicate ecological balance.
