FormatBiz | Canale 5 Honours Mike Bongiorno's anniversary with the launch of a new edition of Wheel of Fortune

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Mike Bongiorno's birth (May 26, 1924), Mediaset celebrates him with a new edition of La Ruota della Fortuna hosted by Gerry Scotti, the host whom Mike himself has repeatedly referred to as his television heir.
The quiz show return daily stripped from Monday to Friday on May 6 at 18:45 on Canale 5.

La Ruota della Fortuna, based on the format Wheel Of Fortune, is one of the most famous game shows in the world, that has been broadcast in 60 countries and debuted in the US on NBC in 1975. Mike Bongiorno hosted it starting in 1989 for fourteen editions and a total of 3.125 episodes.

The italian version is produced by RTI with Endemol Shine Italy, and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
