The Turkish series market is booming in Italy, with MADD Entertainment and Inter Medya leading distributors, announcing record sales in the country.

They have licensed four new titles to Mediaset, one of Europe’s fastest-growing markets.

Inter Medya has announced a new deal with Mediaset in Italy after the huge success of long-running soap Bitter Lands (Terra Amara) on Canale 5.

Building on this success, Inter Medya has license two successful feature films, My Son, starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Büşra Develi, and Second Chance, starring Özcan Deniz and Nurgül Yeşilçay.
In addition to their classic dramas and feature films, Inter Medya, have previously licensed also successful mini-series like Interrupted and Dreams and Realities to Mediaset Italy.

Among the series soon to air on Mediaset are The Family (Featuring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Serenay Sarıkaya), If You Love (Featuring Kerem Bürsin, Hafsanur Sancaktutan), Gülcemal (Featuring Murat Ünalmış, Melis Sezen) and the International Emmy-winning series Family Secrets (Featuring Kaan Urgancıoğlu, Pınar Deniz). There’s every reason to expect these new titles will perform well in Italy, as other top and most loved MADD title Love is in the Air did.

ATV Distribution has also inked an agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery in Italy for drama series Hercai, marking the company’s first deal in that territory. The Turkish drama series, which has been licensed to more than 100 countries, is set to air in Italy today on RealTime.
