yes Studios announces major new futuristic thriller Wonder in co-production with Paramount
yes Studios is pleased to announce its new drama series now in production, the 8 x 45’ realistic technological thriller Wonder.

Set in the near future, Wonder is focused around Noya, a 17-year-old girl killed in a car crash, and the story of how her father Avner, a retired combat officer, and Daria, Noya’s best friend and a social media personality, join forces and set off on a journey together to investigate her death. They discover Noya had a secret virtual life as part of a growing movement of teenagers swept up in the world of “wonder” — a new and mysterious virtual reality gaming app. Avner, who was mostly absent from Noya’s life, now faces a series of shocking revelations about his daughter. His and Daria’s investigation, along with flashbacks into Noya’s past, gradually unfolds the dark chain of events that led to her night-time accident in the desert.

Wonder, which will debut later this year on leading broadcaster and streamer yes TV, was created by Yishai Orian (The Beetle, Citizen Kopatz) and Yair Sagi (The Beetle, Burned) and produced by Paramount’s Ananey Studios. It stars Noa Kirel, one of Israel’s most high-profile young acting talents and the singer behind its 2023 Eurovision Song Contest entry, as well as Yovel Lewkowski (All Time High on Netflix).

yes Studios, home to major international series such as Fauda, Shtisel, Your Honor, and Night Therapy, will share international distribution for Wonder with Paramount's Ananey Studios.

Sharon Levi, managing director at yes Studios, says, “We are excited to have this new drama series in production and look forward to introducing it to our international partners. We always try to offer something new to buyers, and Wonder is like nothing else on our slate. Futuristic but grounded in reality, this thriller will have broad appeal, but we especially believe that it will prove popular with young adult audiences looking for something different. This ‘YA’ space is something that we’ve been keen to explore, and working together with Ananey and Paramount, we have found the perfect series to both reach a global audience and resonate with a generation that is hooked on their phones and, at times, disconnected from the real world.”
