On Thurday, July 4 Urbano Cairo, editor of La7, presented the network's Autumn schedule in front of the press in Milan. The event highlighted impressive past performance and introduced the lineup for the upcoming season.
Cairo confirmed La7's stellar performance. The channel directed by Andrea Salerno, wrapped up the recent season (October 1, 2023 - June 15, 2024) secured a 5.8% share (+18%) and attracted an average of 1,14mln viewers (+17%), consistently ranking as the third network in prime time (8:00 PM - 10:30 PM). La7's audience profile remains among the best in Italian TV, holding the second spot in the high-spending demographic with a 12.3% share (+20%) and among graduates with a 13.7% share (+19%).
Over the past twelve months, La7 also saw excellent performance in digital and social areas. Total stream views across La7's sites and apps (mobile and TV) and YouTube channels reached 689 million (+12%). La7's programs remain the most viewed on-demand in the broadcaster's in-depth segment, accounting for 62% of stream views and 45% of viewing time. La7's podcasts were listened to 4.2 million times (+30%), and the network has a social media following of 7.4 million (+15%), with an additional 2.6 million YouTube subscribers (+13%). Overall, the La7 system (La7, La7d, and digital on proprietary channels) reaches over 37 million viewers each month.
The upcoming season begins on September 9, 2024, featuring daily news coverage from TgLa7, with Enrico Mentana confirmed to lead until 2026. Mentana will also host special editions and his famous #maratonementana.
Among the new entries, Flavio Insinna (who moved from Rai 1 to La7), will host Family Feud from Monday to Saturday in the pre-evening slot, enhancing the network's afternoon entertainment offering.
Returning shows are Otto e Mezzo with Lilli Gruber returns on September 9, remaining a cornerstone of access prime time.

Saturday and Sunday (from September 14): In Altre Parole by Massimo Gramellini and Roberto Vecchioni, focusing on culture and current affairs.
Alessandro Barbero will return with specials of In viaggio con Barbero and a new weekly segment.
