Iberseries & Platino Industria 2024 has announced the projects for the fourth edition of the Showrunners Workshop, set for October 1-4 at Matadero Madrid.
The workshop will host professionals experienced in creating, writing, directing, or producing audiovisual content, each bringing a Spanish-language series project. Participants will receive specialized training to enhance skills in creation, writing, production, and management.
The workshop is coordinated by Enrique Darriba, a veteran executive producer with a rich background in TV and platform content. Darriba has held prominent roles at Zeta Audiovisual, Telemadrid, Atresmedia, and Mediaset, and currently directs a Master’s program with Secuoya Studios. Other tutors are: Jorge Redondo: showrunner and executive producer of series like "Inés del alma mía" and "Mar de plástico", Tatiana Rodríguez: screenwriter and series creator, nominated for the Goya Awards and winner of the Circle of Cinematographic Writers' Best Screenplay Award, Miquel Peidro: Novelist, playwright, and creator of series such as "El secreto de Puente Viejo" and "Acacias 38."
The nine finalist projects come from Argentina, Chile, Spain, USA, Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay have been chosen by a committee led by Enrique Darriba.
