The 12th season of Bake Off Itallia - Dolci in Forno, the cooking show by BBC, produced by Banijay Italia for Warner Bros. Discovery, debuts on Friday, September 6, in prime time on REAL TIME (channel 31).

This year brings an exciting new addition to Real Time's flagship show: alongside host Benedetta Parodi and regular judges Ernst Knam, Damiano Carrara, and Tommaso Foglia, the legendary Pastry Master Iginio Massari will join as a special guest for the technical challenge, adding his expertise and critical eye to the competition.

But that's not all! In a twist this season, the contestants won’t be revealed at the start. Instead, 30 aspiring pastry chefs will compete in two selection episodes, after which the final lineup of 14 contestants will be announced.

Following the selection, the competition will continue in its traditional format. The 14 contestants will face three classic challenges each week: the creative challenge, where they can showcase their imagination by reinterpreting recipes; the technical challenge judged by Iginio Massari, where they’ll demonstrate their skills away from the judges' gaze; and the surprise challenge, designed to test their creativity with visually stunning tasks.

The theme of this edition is the "Olympus of Pastry," celebrating the finest in baking, from the judges to the contestants and special guests who have graced the tent over the years. This season promises even higher standards and fierce competition!

The title of Italy’s Best Amateur Pastry Chef will once again be awarded at Villa Borromeo d'Adda in Arcore (MB), a stunning artistic gem in Lombardy. The grand greenhouse backdrop this year features earthy tones, wildflowers, and hues of terracotta and ochre, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
