Prime Video India Unveils Indian Adaptation of Global Hit Reality Show The Traitors
Prime Video India announced the Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed reality show The Traitors, in collaboration with All3Media International and BBC Studios India Productions. The show, which has been adapted in over 20 countries, will be available in Hindi with English subtitles on Prime Video. In the series, 20 players compete for a cash prize, with some secretly chosen as ‘traitors’ tasked with deceiving the others. Hosted by Karan Johar, the show promises to bring thrilling entertainment to audiences across India.

BBC Studios India's Sameer Gogate praised the unique concept, noting its appeal to a wide audience. Sabrina Duguet, EVP APAC at All3Media International said, “We’re thrilled to share that following this deal with Prime Video India there are now over 30 versions of The Traitors commissioned worldwide".
The Traitors (Dutch title: De Verraders) was created and developed by Marc Pos and IDTV Creative Director Jasper Hoogendoorn in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit.
Since its launch in the Netherlands on RTL 4 in 2021, the format has proved its international appeal with over 25 adaptations and numerous returning seasons. Hit international adaptations of the format include the Emmy winning US version for NBC Universal’s streaming service Peacock and BBC One’s BAFTA winning version in the UK, which drew in 8 million viewers for the season 2 finale. The US versions will return for a third season and UK version has been commissioned for a fourth season and celebrity version.
