For the first time, the iconic roles of Velina and Velino will be shared by a male and female performer. The 21-year-old dancer Beatrice Coari and 37-year-old performer Gianluca Briganti will make history as the first mixed-gender duo in the show's long tradition.
The show will be fronted by the never-before-seen pairing of popular TV personality Michelle Hunziker and comedian Nino Frassica.
There are also new faces among the show's reporters. Following their successful run on Pechino Express, sports commentator Fabio Caressa and his daughter Eleonora will make their debut on Striscia la Notizia with a brand-new weekly segment titled “Gli Oscar dei Caressas”. The father-daughter duo will humorously award satirical "Oscars" to politicians trying their hand at acting, off-key singers, and other amusing figures from viral videos on TV and the web.
