Thirtyfour Media: A New Indie Collective Shaping Europe’s Creative Landscape

Thirtyfour Media
has launched as a brand-new independent community in Europe, aiming to provide a home and support system for indie labels. Led by Banijay Entertainment alum Joris Gijsbertse, the collective is supported by an advisory board including Tanja van der Goes (CEO of All Right Media and former EndemolShine Group exec) and Boudewijn Beusmans (founder of 3Rivers and former CEO of EndemolShine Netherlands).

The company enters the market with four initial partners: Constantin Entertainment in Germany (known for LOL, Shopping Queen, Kaulitz & Kaulitz), NewBe in the Netherlands (Heartbreak High, Singletown), Laud People in Denmark (Things My Dad Failed to Teach Me, 100 Years For Sale), and Constantin Entertainment Polska in Poland (The Farm, Kitchen Nightmares, Home Makeover). Thirtyfour Media is already in advanced discussions to expand into other regions, with the aim of partnering with one production company per country.

At Thirtyfour Media, independent production companies can rely on Gijsbertse, formerly a Banijay Entertainment acquisitions executive, for guidance and support in forming collaborations, securing partnerships, acquiring formats, and expanding intellectual property internationally. The collective will offer shared resources, including a unified catalogue, IP exchanges, centralized acquisitions, and exclusive first-look deals. Thirtyfour Media also plans to foster collaboration through pre-MIP events, in-conference relationship building, and an environment where members can share knowledge and opportunities. It’s designed to be a hub for indies looking to extend their global reach while preserving their creative autonomy.

Commenting on the launch, Joris Gijsbertse, CEO of Thirtyfour Media, said:
“In a time when the content landscape is being reshaped by declining ad revenues, consolidation, and commissioning slowdowns, indie producers need affordable solutions to help them achieve their international potential. With borders becoming less of a barrier, there is immense creative opportunity, but producers must tap into the wider production and distribution ecosystem to effectively bring ideas in and out of markets. Thirtyfour Media allows producers to retain their unique identity and creative freedom while focusing on what they do best—creating, selling, and producing locally. We handle the rest.”

In addition to its production support, Thirtyfour Media has partnered with Treasure, an AI-driven platform developed in Denmark, offering intelligent infrastructure solutions for content distribution.
