Studio Dragon has released its second English-language Sustainability Report, detailing its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and achievements for 2023. Following the publication of the first report last year, this new report further emphasizes Studio Dragon's leadership in sustainable management within the drama production industry.

One of the key highlights is the promotion of gender diversity in content. In 2023, 51.7% of the company's productions, including popular titles like Castaway Diva and Delightfully Deceitful, featured a female lead or co-star. Additionally, 58.8% of production staff were female creators by the end of 2023, reinforcing Studio Dragon’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in its creative process.

The report also showcases several partner support programs aimed at ensuring a safe and collaborative working environment. These include regular safety training sessions, the Grievance Reporting System to gather partner feedback, and the Safety and Health Council, which focuses on maintaining a secure production environment.

In line with its environmental goals, Studio Dragon introduced strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company achieved ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system in June 2023 and set ambitious short- and medium-term targets to reach Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

Sung Ho Jang, head of Studio Dragon's ESG management, stated, “This report highlights over 20 new sustainability activities, including greenhouse gas reductions, local community collaborations, and Board evaluations, all aligned with CJ Group’s core value of ‘OnlyOne.’ As a leading K-drama producer, we aim to actively communicate our achievements and plans for sustainable management, contributing to a more responsible industry.”

The report adheres to international reporting standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), UN Global Compact (UNGC), and others. It has also been verified by the global certification body DNV KOREA, ensuring the accuracy and transparency of the report's disclosures.
