The hit family entertainment format The Way Out is set for an exclusive premiere on Prime Video in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, along with Amazon Freevee in Germany and Austria. Prime members and Amazon viewers in these regions can look forward to the series debut in spring 2025.

The Way Out has already achieved widespread success in Belgium, where the sixth season is now in production on VTM. In the Netherlands, four successful seasons have aired, with additional adaptations in Denmark, French-speaking Belgium, and the Middle East.

This unique format pits two teams of well-known personalities against each other, each sending a duo into identical rooms packed with puzzles and mysteries. As they unravel scientific experiments and crack codes, the teams race to discover ‘The Way Out.’ The show’s format also includes engaging studio segments with hosts, experts, and celebrity pairs, who deepen the audience’s involvement and heighten the suspense.

The German adaptation will be a co-production between Roses Are Blue, the original creator and producer, and its German affiliate, Fabiola. Filming will take place at the production hub in Belgium.
