Odeon Fiction and Toon2Tango, part of LEONINE Animation Studios, are co-producing Paluten Freedom, an animated family film inspired by the wildly popular Paluten Freedom web series. Set for release in 2027, the film will bring new adventures and beloved characters like Pig Edgar and Professor Duck to the big screen.
The Paluten Freedom franchise, created by German YouTuber Patrick Mayer (Paluten), includes over 380 YouTube episodes, a bestselling nine-volume book series (1.8 million copies sold), and a hit comic. Paluten, a leading German gaming content creator with over 5.46 million YouTube subscribers and 5.4 billion views, is also active on Instagram, Twitch, and podcast platforms.
The screenplay, developed by Mayer and Klaas Kern, continues their successful collaboration. Produced by Philip Voges (Odeon Fiction) and co-produced by Toon2Tango founders Ulli Stoef and Jo Daris, the film will be distributed by LEONINE Studios, aiming to build on the brand's massive online success. Paluten expressed gratitude for his community’s support, calling the film an incredible milestone in his journey.
