After captivating audiences for an entire season, the snowy Vanoi Valley returns as the setting for Blackout 2 - Vite sospese (Blackout 2 - Hidden Truths), a Rai Fiction-Èliseo Entertainment co-production, produced by Luca Barbareschi in collaboration with Trentino Film Commission. The series premieres on Rai 1 starting Tuesday, January 14, with 4 episodes.

The story picks up exactly where it left off. An on-screen murder committed by Umberto, Lara’s loving father, who continues to hide the truth, sets the stage for a season filled with new questions and doubts about potential catastrophic events outside the valley. The arrival of mysterious newcomers via helicopter adds intrigue as the hidden truths begin to unravel.

Key characters return: Giovanni, a successful broker transformed by his experience with his comatose daughter Elena, is genuinely in love with Claudia, the doctor who saved her. Giovanni struggles with his orders to kill Claudia, the key witness in a trial against his mobster brother. Meanwhile, Claudia learns Giovanni tried to kill her twice, all while she was living undercover to escape the clan's violence. Claudia’s support system includes her teenage daughter Anita and ex-husband Marco, who arrives in the valley to take Anita away. Despite his new partner Irene, Marco still struggles to let go of Claudia, and their failed marriage might see a small spark reignite.

Destiny remains the central theme of this mystery-drama, now directed by emerging talents Fabio Resinaro and Nico Marzano. The series continues to blend suspense, shifting suspicions, tenderness, and courage amidst the snowy Trentino mountains.

Returning cast members include Alessandro Preziosi, Rike Schmid, Marco Rossetti, Aurora Ruffino, and many others, joined by new faces such as Adele Dezi, Fiorenza Tessari, and Alessio Vassallo.
