Fipadoc 2025 - France's Documentary Festival Returns to Biarritz
France's largest international documentary event, FIPADOC, is set to return to Biarritz for its 7th edition from Friday, January 24, to Saturday, February 1, 2025. This iconic festival promises an exceptional lineup of nearly 180 documentary films, 230 screenings, and a dynamic program of masterclasses, debates, and conferences.

With its strong regional roots, FIPADOC takes over the most celebrated venues in Biarritz and its surrounding towns, offering a platform where the art of documentary filmmaking intersects with pressing global issues and personal stories.

The selected films aim to foster a deeper understanding of global and personal narratives. As festival leaders Anne Georget and Christine Camdessus highlight: “documentary is a counter-power when it gives a voice to the forgotten, the silent, the revolted... It opens the screen and our eyes to other, sometimes invisible, realities.”
The main themes selected at the festival are: Middle East Focus: I Shall Not Hate: A Doctor’s Journey on the Road to Peace and Human Dignity,War in Ukraine: Songs of Slow,Burning Earth,Personal Narratives: Siblings.

Opening Night: Joana Mallwitz - Momentum, featuring the acclaimed conductor and a performance by the Malandain Ballet Biarritz.
