Colombia’s Caracol Televisión Triumphs at Rose d’Or Latinos Awards, Mexico Leads as Most Awarded Country
The second edition of the Rose d’Or Latinos Awards took place in Miami as part of Content Americas on Tuesday January 21, recognizing excellence in Latin American television and digital content. Among the night’s biggest winners, Colombia’s Caracol Televisión secured two awards, while Mexico emerged as the most decorated country, taking home four prestigious prizes.

Caracol’s victories came in the telenovela and reality show categories, with Devuélveme la Vida and Desafío 20 años earning top honors, respectively. These wins further cement Caracol’s reputation for producing compelling storytelling and high-quality entertainment.

Mexico Dominates with Four Awards across multiple genres:

Los 43 de Ayotzinapa: un Crimen de Estado (Max and PAR Media) won Best Docuseries.

Radical (3Pas Studios, The Lift, and ViX) was named Best Film.

Spotify’s Mexican podcast Caso 63: Enigma triumphed in the Audio category.

Me Caigo de Risa S9 (Endemol Shine Boomdog and Televisa) secured the award for Best Comedy or Variety Entertainment Content.

Other Latin American and Spanish productions also enjoyed success at the ceremony. Spain won three awards, Colombia followed with two, while Argentina, Brazil, and Chile each took home one.

One of the night’s biggest winners was Argentina’s Iosi, el Espía Arrepentido (Amazon Prime Video, Oficina Burman, part of The Mediapro Studio), which claimed the Best Drama Award for its second season. The espionage drama triumphed over a strong lineup of nominees, including:

Spanish Productions Excel in Scripted and Unscripted Categories and Spain demonstrated its storytelling prowess with multiple wins:

Best Comedy or Dramedy: Tierra de Mujeres (Apple TV+, Bambú Producciones, UnbeliEVAble, Hyphenate Media Group)

Best Miniseries or Limited Series: La Mesías (Movistar Plus+, Suma Content)

Best Factual Show: 100% Únicos (Shine Iberia, Mediaset España)

For the first time, the Rose d’Or Latinos Awards separated the children’s and youth categories.

Best Children’s Content: Perfekta (Mixer Films, Globo) from Brazil.

Best Youth Programme: Baby Bandito (Fábula, Netflix) from Chile.

Eugenio Derbez Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

In addition to the competitive categories, this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mexican actor, director, and producer Eugenio Derbez. Recognized for his contributions to Latin American entertainment, Derbez has been instrumental in successful projects such as the award-winning Radical, Acapulco, and No se Entregan Devoluciones (Instructions Not Included).
