Grupo Mediapro launches new titles with its International sales division
Grupo MEDIAPRO and its international rights agency, IMAGINA INTERNATIONAL SALES, come to MIPTV with new original content both in fiction and entertainment.
Highlights of this new content are: SIDE GAMES, new fictional series coproduced by MEDIAPRO and DIRECTV, directed by Daniel Calparsoro and with Eduardo Sacheri as lead writer; UNDISCOVERED SPAIN is a show where chef José Andrés will guide us to discover all the secrets and magic of his home country; THE LOOK, a reality-talent show where celebrities and stylists will compete for the prize; and PHOTOBOMBERS, an entertaining and original show to find out who is the best photobomber in the country.
SIDE GAMES will begin its international run in this market. It is a high-concept coproduction between MEDIAPRO and DIRECTV, a 50-minute 8-episode thriller that shows how the wonderful world of soccer is intertwined with the dark underworld that surrounds it. The show is directed by prestigious Daniel Calparsoro and the lead writer is the Argentine Eduardo Sacheri.
UNDISCOVERED SPAIN, a production between MEDIAPRO and THINKFOODGROUP, will also be presented. The show is starred by chef José Andrés, one of the leading chefs in the world, winner of two Michelin stars and named by TIME magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. On this show, José Andrés will guide us in a trip where we will discover all the secrets and magic of every little corner in Spain through its food, people and culture.
THE LOOK will arrive in Cannes with an exciting and fun competition. On this great reality-talent show, produced by MEDIAPRO, GAZUL PRODUCCIONES and COMMUNICATION HITS AND LIVE, celebrities who always have the perfect look will have to become stylists for the first time and learn from scratch from the best professionals to achieve perfection in both hairdressing and makeup.
PHOTOBOMBERS is another entertainment show that will debut on MIPTV. This engaging format delves into the art of photobombing, whose goal is to ruin a photograph by appearing unexpectedly into its view. It is the first comedy panel show dedicated to this peculiar activity. Five participants will have to complete a series of entertaining tests until one of them is crowned as the best photobomber in the country. It is produced by Mediapro and Phileas Productions.
