Israeli network Keshet 12 has commissioned singing reality competition Aviv or Eval (working title), which pitches two of the country’s musical icons against each other to discover the next big talent.
In the 23×60’ series, contestants will first audition in front of judges Aviv Geffen and Eyal Golan before progressing to ‘The Audience Test,’ where – having prepared a different song with each judge – they must assess the spectators and decide which of the songs to perform.
If they pick well and receive the required 1,000 audience votes, they progress to the next round, where they will face off against a singer from the other judge’s team.
Aviv or Eyal is co-created and produced by Tel Aviv-based Tedy Productions (Rising Star) and will premiere on Keshet Media Group-owned Keshet 12 this summer.
Geffen and Golan are both well-known singers and musicians in Israel.
