Independent factual production company Barcroft Media today reveals four brand new long-form TV series based on its hugely popular digital programming at MIPCOM.

Following on from the announcement of a co-production agreement between WE tv, Barcroft Media and TCB Media Rights to produce the new 8 x 60’ TV series ‘Extreme Love’, Barcroft Media is revealing four new series to buyers in Cannes - ‘Snapped in the Wild, ‘Making Mad’, ‘Major Loser’ and ‘Outrageous Homes’ (w/t).

The first series to be revealed at MIPCOM is ‘Snapped in the Wild’, based on the short form Barcroft TV series that has attracted an incredible combined 412m lifetime views on YouTube and 512 million views on Facebook Watch in the past 12 months alone. In an age when everyone has a video camera on their phone, a combination of talent, patience, split-second timing or blind luck has allowed people the world over to capture incredible animal events on camera that have become viral video sensations. ‘Snapped in the Wild’ reveals the world’s most jaw-dropping, original, caught-on-camera animal footage from Barcroft’s archive alongside a chorus of wildlife experts and photographers.

From the world’s fastest shed to a backyard harrier jet, ‘Making Mad’ follows the world’s best backyard inventors and their truly innovative creations. Defying the laws of physics and stretching the limits of engineering, each episode features stories taken from Barcroft’s successful online digital series including a homemade submarine and a real-life ‘Iron Man’ exoskeleton, viewers will be inspired to ‘make mad’ alongside our extraordinary creators.

‘Major Loser’ tells the extraordinary true stories of people who have managed against all odds to lose an unbelievable amount of weight. From a 300lb weight loss resulting in an incredible 13lbs of loose skin, to an online troll who turned his life around and lost 400lbs in the process, ‘Major Loser’ explores their motivations and combines the inspirational, uplifting and often tear-jerking stories from Barcroft archives with an exclusive new weight loss journey ending with an emotional reveal of their shocking transformation.

And following on from the success of Barcroft’s ‘Amazing Interiors’ for Netflix, the company is revealing ‘Outrageous Homes’, a brand-new original series that will allow viewers to step inside the world’s most mind-blowing living spaces and meet the inventive home-owners who created them. From a luxurious, gravity-defying treehouse to an astonishing home built inside a US Navy tugboat, each episode will feature exclusive stories of one-of-a-kind renovations and creative conversions.
