The U.S. channel EstrellaTV has entered into a multiyear licensing pact with Fremantle to produce a Spanish-language version of Family Feud.
EstrellaTV and Fremantle are to co-produce 100 Latinos Dijeron, a Spanish-language version of the classic American game show. Family Feud has spawned adaptations in over 50 international markets outside of the U.S. The EstrellaTV Network will begin airing its Spanish-language version of Family Feud in early 2019. The celebrity host will be announced in January.
“We are excited to bring this new adaptation of Family Feud to Hispanic audiences in the U.S., because it’s in line with EstrellaTV’s strategy of providing Spanish-language content that is not only entertaining but also relevant to Latinos living here in the United States,” said Lenard Liberman, CEO of LBI Media, parent company to the EstrellaTV Network.
“Family Feud is a huge part of Fremantle’s history. The format has brought us a lot of success and we have no doubt that 100 Latinos Dijeron will continue to entertain viewers in the U.S.,” said Coty Cagliolo, managing director of Fremantle Mexico.
