MIPTV and CANNESERIES, today announce the 16 projects in the Official Selection of In Development, the second edition of the Cannes Drama Creative Forum dedicated to fast-tracking drama series production. An international jury of drama experts shortlisted the projects from a record 376 submissions from 41 countries.
In Development, the Cannes Drama Creative Forum, is co-organised by MIPTV and CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival, and is the chance to discover, connect and greenlight early-stage drama projects at an international level. Over three-and-a-half days, producers and creators can pitch projects to key decision-makers, including commissioning editors, platforms, distributors, co-producers, funds and talent agencies.
MIPTV, the International Market for Content Development and Distribution, takes place in Cannes, France from 8-11 April 2019. CANNESERIES runs in the city from 5-10 April 2019.
In Development Drama Producers’ Pitch presents a diverse range of quality projects from producers seeking development and financial partners, highlighting both fresh local voices and established international producers. In parallel, the In Development Drama Writers’ Pitch features projects from emerging and seasoned writers with international ambitions.

As well as winning the opportunity to pitch a project to a high-level audience, the selected projects may be eligible for development funding from In Development’s Official Partners:
- Leading independent European producer, Federation Entertainment (“The Bureau”), will co-develop, co-produce and distribute one of the selected projects:

French investment fund “La Fabrique des Formats” will offer financing for up to two series from the selection backed by a French producer or co-producer.

In Development provides these projects with access to key decision-makers and the opportunity to move into production before reaching international audiences. The Official Selection of the third edition of the Drama Short Form Series Pitch will be announced in early March.
