Canale 5 broadcast the 2nd episode of mystery thriller The Silence of Water on Monday, March 10 in prime time achieving 3.2 million viewers with an audience share of 14%. A point below the premiere on Friday March 8 but still strong with more than 3 million viewers.

The story is set in a close community near Trieste. In a tranquil village on the sea, where everyone knows each other, a 16-year-old girl suddenly disappears.
The local police inspector, a familiar face for his fellow townsfolk, starts to investigate the girl’s disappearance.
But when, during a sea search, the poor girl’s body is found in the water, a homicide detective from the nearest town is sent to lead the investigation.
The work of the two detectives soon exposes the dark side and hidden secrets which lurk behind the respectable facade of the village people.
