Mediaset Premium will cease broadcasting on Italy’s digital terrestrial network on June 1, 2019, and will make the channels available as an OTT service on the Infinity platform.
Infinity is a streaming service that was launched in 2013, it will be the sole means of distribution for the Mediaset premium offer. From the same date, the Premium Online and Premium Play services will also cease. On-demand content and linear channels (broadcast live) will only be available on Infinity.
Subscribers who subscribe to Premium on digital terrestrial will be able to cancel their subscription at no cost. Those who keep their subscription will receive the credentials for access to the Premium Service on Infinity by the end of May, along with the methods of use and the link to the new platform. The first 10 days will be offered free of charge. At the end of this period, a fee of 7.99 euros per month will come into force.
Mediaset has also revised the contractual agreements signed with DAZN. Also from June 1, the service for sport streaming service will no longer be included in the subscription to Infinity. Users registered on DAZN will be able to continue to follow the events using their credentials on the official website and through dedicated applications.
