Eccholine unveils The Ex Games and Double Double & celebrates 15th anniversary of hit format Pekin Express at Mipcom 2019.


Eccholine, the world’s leading line-production company is bringing the successful Chilean hit reality format ‘The Ex Games’ (original title ‘Volverias Con Tu Ex’, created by MGE) to audiences worldwide.

In ‘The Ex Games’ twelve ex-couples want to discover whether the love they once had can be rekindled or whether the passion has gone for good and it’s time to move on in search for new love

‘The Ex Games’ isn’t just about creating the perfect environment for love to blossom it’s about testing the ex-couples under pressure. The ex-couples have to work together as a team in a challenging, physical daily competition against the other ex-couples. Will the stress and exhaustion of the competition, or the temptations thrown up by meeting eligible people in the ‘Ex Games Villa’ make or break them as a couple?

‘Double Double’ is big studio-based gameshow format created by French format creator, ‘Talk To You’.

‘Double Double’ is a fast-paced, fun and entertaining format that tests the contestants’ ability to multi-task.

In ‘Double Double’ two teams of 4 will do battle over three rounds to prove that they are the champions of multi-tasking. The challenges the contestants face will range from easy; ‘answering general knowledge questions whilst shooting basketball hoops” to difficult and physically challenging; “remain upstanding on a wild water surfboard whilst having to answer mathematical questions”.

Mipcom 2019 also marks the15th anniversary since the launch of the hit format ‘Peking Express’.

‘Peking Express’ launched in 2004 on Net5 Holland and VT4 Belgium and proved an instant hit with viewers in both weekly and daily versions. The format has since been sold to 16 territories around the world with over 45 series having being produced to date. ‘Pekin Express’, the ultimate adventure race reality format, shows no sign of slowing down.

The recent series for M6 France (the 12th season) delivered phenomenal ratings for the network, particularly amongst female audiences. ‘Pekin Express’ has also been a big hit for TV2 Hungary and Antena TV Romania this year.
