Canale 5 will air season two of mystery thriller The Silence of Water in 2020.

The drama (8x50’ episodes produced by Garbo Productions) is the most popular title of Mediaset’s library aired on Canale 5 on spring 2019 recording almost 4 million viewers with an audience share of 15.3%.

In the first season, the community of a small village by the sea was shocked by the brutal murder of adolescent Laura and by the terrible discovery of the culprit. The investigations led by the duo-cops formed by Andrea Baldini, the local police inspector and Luisa Ferrari a homicide policewoman from the city of Trieste were very positive but each one was dealing with different family issues. In the second season when everything in the small village of Castel Marciano seems to turn again in the peaceful and quite place as it was, the community is shocked again by a double homicide. The local cop Andrea must make an important decision for his life and career, but also faces a threat from his past, while the colleague Luisa Ferrari is divided by her desire to be a mother. The new crime involves also a little girl that seems to be very attracted to the cop Luisa.
