The first episode of La Corrida broadcast by Rai 1 on Friday 21 February at 21.25 recorded 4.1 mln viewers with an audience sahre of 19.7%. In the same slot competitor Big Brother VIP 2020 achieved 3.1 mln viewers with an audience share of 18.5%.
La Corrida, produced by Banijay and Corima is a classic entertainment format conceived by famous TV host Corrado, previously broadcast by Mediaset Canale 5 in 1986 in which ordinary people show off their often mediocre talent in different disciplines from singing, dancing, impersonation, stand-up…
Their performances are judged by the studio audience, who show their approval by making as much noise as possible (applause, bells, whistles...). The contestants who get the most applause perform again at the end of the episode, once again judged by the audience, competing to be crowned the night's winner.
