Launched on MTV US in 2014 and now in its eighth season, Are You the One? is a reality game show which brings together 20 single men and women hoping to find love. Pre-matched by dating experts, the 20 singles have ten attempts to work out the ten correct “perfect matches” in the hope of sharing a huge cash prize. After Mexico, Brazil, Sweden, Denmark and France, where a fourth season is currently in production, the German version will be the sixth international adaption of the format. The 10×60-minute episodes will be shot in South Africa and produced by RTL Studios to air later this year.
