Portuguese broadcaster TVI has commissioned a new version of reality show Big Brother, 14 years after the format last aired in the country.
The hit show from Endemol Shine Group celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, during which it was recommissioned after a hiatus in a number of territories around the globe including Greece, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Finland and Australia.
Big Brother initially aired in Portugal on TVI, but was axed 14 years ago. It will return to the same channel next year and will be produced by Endemol Shine Portugal.
The new Portuguese version will be filmed in a beachfront home, using state-of-the-art technology including 57 cameras installed in the house, 45 of which will be robotic.
