The Voice is making its comeback in South Korea
ITV Studios’ flagship show format The Voice has been licensed to CJ ENM in South Korea, who will also produce the show. The record-breaking show that continues to entertain and captivate millions across the globe for almost a decade now, will return on Mnet this Spring after a 7-year break. The Voice is very successful in Asia, with currently 13 local versions on air.

Says Ayesha Surty, SVP Licensing Asia, "Music has the amazing ability to bring people together. In these unusual times, a positive and heart-warming show like The Voice will continue to entertain people across every generation and help bring families together in front of their TVs at home. Mnet with its fantastic reach is the right partner for us to bring The Voice back to the people of South Korea again!’

‘It is refreshing to have a new season after 7 years. All of us are having harsh times this year and I strongly believe that the program would be a great chance to share comfort and deep impressions with everyone’, adds Sang Jun Park, Producer CJ ENM.

The Voice is part of the Voice franchise, consisting of The Voice (2010), The Voice Kids (2012) and The Voice Senior (2018) currently has a total of 121 adaptations across the globe, making it the biggest and most successful format brand in the non-scripted global marketplace to date. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of The Voice. It's the purest vocal talent competition ever. In this innovative vocal contest, looks don't play a role. This show is all about real talent; it's all about the voice! The format is the #1 most-watched primetime network show of the last decade in the US.
