Yourg writer and director Roberta Palmieri is the winner of the second edition of A Story for Emergency Competition with the short's script titled Captain Didier.

After the success of its first edition that awarded the short Ape Regina, the Humanitarian organization received 109 scripts from people aged between 16 and 25 years old valuated by a jury composed by top industry professionals.

Roberta Palmieri, the young screenwriter will receive a € 500 prize and the Captain Didier screenplay will be produced by GREENLAND in collaboration with EMERGENCY. The competition "A story for EMERGENCY" is made in collaboration with RAI CINEMA.

Captain Didier tells the story of a Sub-Saharan child who dreams of building a boat of his own with the paper cover of a pizza. To help the little boy, his father brings a pizza every night, but one day a storm ruined the masterpiece..

The short was awarded for it values a great message of solidarity and love between a father and his child - noted the jury. Roberta Palmieri is specialized in digital communication and she is working on several short’s projects as director and screenplay.
