Leading independent distributor all3media international has signed three new high-volume deals in the CEE region for its factual entertainment content. The acquisitions from Russia’s First HDTV, ITI Neovision in Poland and BBC Poland include a diverse range of new and library programming led by key factual entertainment faces - such as Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh and Guy Martin.
Russia’s First HDTV has picked up a package totalling close to 70 hours of content. This includes three titles presented by expert horticulturalist Monty Don – series eight of the ever-popular Gardeners’ World (BBC Studios, 25 x 60’), series three of Big Dreams, Small Spaces (Lion Television, 6 x 60’) and two-part special Monty Don’s Japanese Gardens (Blink Films). Also acquired is series seven and eight – 17 x 60’ in total – of Spun Gold’s Love Your Garden presented by Alan Titchmarsh.
Four health and wellbeing specials head to Russia – Lion Television’s The Truth About Sleep and The Truth About Carbs, Tin Roof Media’s The Truth About Stress and Maverick Television’s The Sticky Truth About Sugar. Maverick Television’s epic challenge series Escape led by Ant Middleton (5 x 60’) also features in the deal. First HDTV will air a collection of Lion Television documentary specials from the all3media international catalogue – Bomber Boys and Battle of Britain, both featuring Ewan and Colin McGregor, and Secrets of the Chinese Chariots – alongside Guy Martin’s WW1 Tank from North One Television. Also acquired from the catalogue are Rat Bastards (Studio Lambert USA, 6 x 30’) and Me, My Selfie and I: With Ryan Gander (Swan Films, 60’).
Homes and gardens-themed content - with the ever popular Monty Don - headlines all3media international’s latest deal with ITI Neovision’s factual channels in Poland. Domo+has picked up a package totalling 66 hours, which also includes Gardeners’ World (Series 8), Monty Don’s Japanese Gardens and Love Your Garden (Series 8), as well as the 3 x 60’ Monty Don’s American Gardens (Alexandra Henderson Associates). In addition, ITI Neovision has renewed Big Dreams, Small Spaces and secured twenty hours of content with all three series of Amazing Productions’ Ugly House to Lovely House with George Clarke.
Kuchnia+ took North One’s quirky travelogue, Eddie Eats America (12 x 30’), featuring World’s Strongest Man winner Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall; while Canal+ picked Snackmasters, the 3 x 60’ series from Optomen Television which sees Fred Sirieix hosting a cooking challenge like no other; and two Raw TV specials - the award-winning Drowning in Plastic and Meat: A Threat to Our Planet?
Finally, For their channels BBC Brit, BBC Earth and BBC Lifestyle BBC Studios in Poland has lined up a range of globe-trotting adventure titles including Studio Lambert’s hit competition series Race Across the World. The deal comprises the first two series (15 x 60’) plus the third series at pre-sale. Ski A&E (North One, 10 x 60’), which joins the lifesaving experts at a ski resort in the French Alps, travels to Poland, alongside Swan Films special The Last Igloo. Motorcycle racer, mechanic and daredevil Guy Martin features in the deal, with two North One productions secured – Our Guy in Japan (2 x 60’) and Guy Martin’s Great Escape (120’). The broadcaster has also renewed health and wellbeing specials The Truth About… and the long-running Gordon Ramsay led series Kitchen Nightmares.
