K7Media College Edition received the first subscribtions
Since first launching last month, K7 Media: College Edition has been welcomed by universities and educational institutions around the globe.
Receiving a substantial number of inbound enquiries since the launch, K7 Media’s online resource includes industry reports, expert commentary and access to the global media consultancy’s digital archive.
Lillehammer University (Norway) and the University of Salford (UK) are the first to sign up to the new service, providing students and course leaders with remote access to invaluable industry resources.
Commenting on why his department subscribed to the service, Ole Hedemann, Professor of Idea and Format Development at The Institute for TV Educations, Lillehammer, said: “We pride ourselves on delivering a world class education for our students and internationalisation is a huge part of that. Norway is a relatively small country with its own language, our programming needs to excel in order to be noticed.
“The global nature of the research and insights K7 Media produce will be very useful to our students as they prepare for careers that will see them work across territories and elevating Norwegian programming.”
Known as ‘The Norwegian TV School’, The Institute for TV Educations is recognised as Norway’s leading educational institution for those looking to build a career in television.
Ric Michael, Academic Lead for Broadcast Media at the University of Salford added: “K7 Media’s research and insights have long been considered industry leading. It will be really valuable to have a such an extensive bank of digital resources available for students as they prepare for their first industry roles.”
Based at MediaCityUK, alongside the BBC and ITV, Salford’s Arts and Media Department has unrivalled links with broadcasters.
Clare Thompson, K7 Media’s non-Executive Director, added: “It has been fantastic to see the positive response to K7 Media: College Edition since it launched. We are excited to continue working with our educational partners to continue expanding the service.”
K7 Media: College Edition is an interactive English language resource reporting on the global TV industry, including linear channels and streaming services.
