Le Rendez-Vous Bi@rritz 2020 will be a hybrid experience for buyers and exporters on September 7-9.
“It is essential to maintain the spotlight on French content that Le Rendez-Vous Biarritz has been offering for 25 years now - even when the COVID-19 pandemic makes that really challenging” says Sarah Hemar, Executive Director of TV France International. “We have to preserve the space it creates along with its spirit of exchange and fun – and of course its effectiveness”, she adds. “The Agence PublicisLive proposal will enable us to combine the agility of a dedicated digital platform with a pop-up film studio, a live space for exchanges - which allows us to meet that objective,” she explains. “This hybrid transformation gives us the possibility of reinventing our flagship event and showcasing newly available French content in September, all the while offering participants unique content talks and events that illustrate the liveliness of French creativity,” she adds.
A dedicated digital platform, linked directly with Screenopsis the biggest database of French content for export, and will be the event’s worldwide showcase. TV France International will propose a selection of video content and exclusive animation to watch live and on replay, boosted by speakers and video subjects. The platform will be available until September 30. A pop-up studio on the rooftops of Paris as a Biarritz-style set, installed on the roof of the Publicis Groupe at 133 avenue des Champs Elysées, will become a “physical” meeting space from September 7 to 9 for TV France and its members, institutional partners and participating personalities for the event’s 26 th edition. Transcending borders via the event’s digital platform, it offers buyers registered for le Rendez-Vous Bi@rritz across the globe a unique vantage point over Paris and a direct linkwith the French audiovisual export community. Throughout the three days of the event, there will be panel discussions, event presentations of programs, pitching sessions.
