France’s leading commercial TV channel TF1 has begun production on a new singing entertainment show called Good Singers based on Global Agency’s original format Is That Really Your Voice?. The show will be hosted by one of the most popular TV personalities, Anthony Lambert (Jarry), with celebrity juries on board. The first episode will be aired on TF1 on Friday, 17th July.
Created in 2013 by Izzet Pinto, the format is based on the unique idea of being able to spot good singers by looking at the contestants, without hearing them sing.
Is That Really Your Voice? is the first known format which is based on guessing contestants’ singing talent by their appearance and hearing them talk, but without hearing their singing voice. Among the contestants some of them have unbearable voices. It’s a comedy mystery game show which combines entertainment and talent. In this singing talent comedy show, the traditional studio format is turned on its head because the judges have to make their selections based on looks alone. In this
weekly prime time show, two teams will face each other over the course of four rounds, each funnier than the one before. In order to win money for charity they must find the Good Singers!

Izzet PINTO, Founder & CEO of Global Agency, said: “I’m very excited to be partnering with TF1 on our fantastic entertainment format “Is That Really Your Voice?” The idea for the show came from watching the singer Susan Boyle, who rose to fame on a talent show. That inspired me to create this format. Her voice did not match her look and created big surprising moments for the audience. This feeling led me to create this idea. Then TF1 channel acquired our format. After the TF1’s perfect adaptation of “Is That Really Your Voice?”, we decided to use the brand name “Good Singers”. After the announcement of “Good Singers”, there has been huge interest in this format even before the launch. It looks like audiences around the world are showing interest in comedy formats these days.
“Good Singers” will be a perfect show for worldwide TV channels. I think it will be the next big thing!
About “Good Singers”:
In this original and entertaining game show, talented and untalented singers are going to try to impress our celebrities without actually singing in the first place!
Two teams, with three celebrities each, compete against each other in this new musical contest and will have to use all their powers of perception to succeed! In each episode, 12 contestants will come onto the stage, each with a numbered label, and each of them pretending to be a Good Singer. While some of them may have great voices, others certainly won't!
The celebrities have one goal: to distinguish the fakes from the genuine articles among the candidates. Do they sing like a diva or like a strangled cat? Do they have what it takes to identify the Good Singers?
