Mediaset celebrates the 30 Anniversary of hit documentary series Donnavventura
Mediaset documentary Donnavventura celebrates its 30 anniversary with a new season as its sets reopen last April with all the safety measures due to the covid-19 outbreak.
In numbers, the all-female format that sees a group of young ladies travelling across the Italian countries and all over the world, explaining and unveiling beautiful sceneries, culture, tradition, art and culture, had 500 episodes and had involved 365 ladies.
The show is on air weekly on Sunday at 2pm and rerun in different slots by Rete 4.
Over the 30 years the show has been watched by millions of viewers.
Giorgio Giovetti head of Mediaset Distribution said: “we are incredibly happy to celebrate this important anniversary a milestone of our hit-documentary show, one of the first format to return after the recent lockdown. We are now thinking about an international version in English with no-professional journalists from different countries. This is a unique format that we would like to re-launch to the international TV Market”.
In each episode, Donnavventura features both passion for travel and the experience of working in a TV-show. Eight young women form a team with one mission: to report from unexplored corners of the world. Exotic locations, unspoilt destinations, and unknown cultures, from the Sahara to the Amazon, from Patagonia to Morocco, from Australia to the Orient, Donnavventura explores the world like it has never been explored before. To be a part of this amazing team participants must be photographers, journalists, excellent drivers, other than being an active part of the TV production. They must be ready to explore and… to handle any kind of unpredictable situation. After this challenging experience they will report back to the world’s most important publications where they will write not only about their experiences but also about their deepest thoughts and feelings, their greatest challenges and the discoveries they made along the way.
