Music mystery show I Can See Your Voice has confirmed its dates to premiere on RTL in August. The broadcaster has announced that the South Korean-original music format will air two episodes on August 18th and 19th on 20:15 as part of their Power Week (Power Woche) schedule.
Announced last month, Tresor TV was commissioned by RTL to produce a German version of I Can See Your Voice. In the primetime show, a musical star and one superfan must sort out amongst the candidates whether they are a good singer, or a bad singer using all but one clue - their actual singing voice. Following rounds of eliminations, one last remaining candidate will have the change to sing a duet with the musical star.
Produced by Keshet International-owned Tresor TV, it will be hosted by Daniel Hartwich with a celebrity panel team consisting of Evelyn Burdecki, Jorge Gonzalez, Thomas Hermanns, Tim Malzer and Judith Rakers.
Diane Min, format sales head at CJ ENM said: “We couldn’t be more excited to finally have the German version of I Can See Your Voice to premiere this summer. It will be a grand start to the ongoing roll of new versions in Europe, and we are thrilled to work again with Tresor TV, who had also produced another one of CJ ENM’s formats 300: War of United Voices with great success this year. We believe that ICSYV will entertain fans of all ages and together with their family."
I Can See Your Voice debuted on MNET back in 2015, with 7 seasons broadcast in Korea. In addition to this order in Germany, it also recently been commissioned in the Netherlands for RTL4, and in the UK for BBC One. The US adaptation will air on FOX later on this year.
