BBC Studios Distribution announced that it has licensed the Love Productions format The Great Bake Off to RTVS (Radio and Television of Slovakia), Slovakia's public television and radio broadcaster.

The agreement will grant RTVS the format licence for two series of the baking competition, which is already a firm favourite in over 30 countries across the globe with Kenya one of the most recent markets to air the series. The commission comes as SBT and Discovery in Brazil renewed their licence agreement with BBC Studios Distribution for a sixth season of the format, known locally as Bake Off Brasil – Mão na Massa airing on SBT and Discovery Home & Health, and a second series was ordered for Czech TV. Production on the Swedish version of the series has also recently wrapped.
