Endemol Shine North America, producers of such hit series as LEGO Masters, MasterChef and Wipeout, has signed YouTube domino phenom Lily Hevesh and is developing a first-of-its-kind competitive domino art competition series with her. It was announced by Sharon Levy, President, Unscripted and Scripted Television, Endemol Shine North America.
Hevesh, considered the #1 Domino Artist in the world based on total views and followers on social media, has attracted a billion views on her wildly popular YouTube channel (Hevesh5) and has set numerous American and Guinness World Records along the way.
The 21-year-old Boston artist has nearly three million subscribers and has led builds for movies (Will Smith’s Collateral Beauty), television series (Saturday Night Live) and helped launch Katy Perry’s Witness album with a special domino build. She has also created numerous projects for major brands including Ford, Disney Pixar, LEGO, Honda and Gillette.
Titled Domino Effect, Endemol Shine North America has developed a supersized unscripted competition series with Hevesh that its team will be taking to the marketplace in the coming weeks.
“Lily Hevesh is truly an innovator in every sense of the word and she has helped make domino art a wildly popular global sensation,” says Endemol Shine’s Levy. “We are thrilled to be teaming with Lily to topple onto television with mesmerizing and mind-blowing domino builds where one slight move can be the difference between ultimate victory or pure disaster.”
“I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Endemol Shine to bring domino art to television,” says Hevesh. “It is very exciting knowing that this domino competition show will introduce families to this incredible art form. Building off the success of Endemol Shine’s LEGO Masters, I know the show is in the best hands and I can’t wait to get going.”
Honored on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list earlier this year for Art & Style, Hevesh recently launched her own line of toppling dominoes (H5 Domino Creations) that are sold by major retailers including Amazon and Walmart.
Among Hevesh’s list of domino accomplishments, she shares a 2017 Guinness World Record for largest domino circle field, and as a member of a 19-person team she broke the American domino record with 250,000 toppling dominoes in one creation.
