The Job Interview travels to Quebec

ITV Studios’ job hunt format The Job Interview has been acquired by MOI ET CIE in Quebec, Canada, making it the 7th country to pick up the show. The format has already brought in strong ratings in multiple territories, such as the USA, UK and Germany. The Canadian version will be produced by Zone3 in collaboration with Québecor Contenu. Over the course of 12 30-minute episodes, which will air next winter, viewers attend real job interviews, conducted between employers and job applicants looking for work in different sectors of activity and coming from all over Quebec.

With millions of Canadians who have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show is an inspiration for viewers to get back on their feet. With awkward presentations, trick questions, surprise tests, scenarios of all kinds, the viewer will see everything. It is a format that everyone can relate to, showing the highs and lows, as well as the do’s and don’ts of trying to secure a job.

Says Maarten Meijs, President Global Entertainment, ITV Studios, “A job interview remains a crucial and unsettling ordeal, maybe even more so in the current times we find ourselves in, making this a very relevant format. Viewers will be treated to touching and authentic human stories. This show is also one of our highlights during the three week long ITV Studios Fall Festival that is currently happening.”

Denis Dubois, vice-president of original content, Quebecor Content adds, “ITV Studios’ The Job Interview format is currently enjoying great success in countries around the world. With us, every show will immerse viewers in a modern office environment, where candidates will unveil themselves before their eyes in all that can be most stressful and intimidating during an interview. A reality that all Quebecers are confronted with one day or another, but very little exposed on our TV.”

The Job Interview takes an inside look at the world of recruitment where the words you say, the clothes you wear, and even the expression on your face can mean the difference between success and failure. Each episode of this observational series brings viewers into the room as a real employer conducts real interviews with real candidates. We will be there every step of the way as people get back to work.
