ZDF Enterprises has sold exclusive FTA TV rights for six children’s titles to TVP ABC, a channel of Poland’s public broadcaster TVP, including major brands Lexi and Lottie and The Adventures of the Young Marco Polo.
The volume deal, with more than 170 episodes being delivered in Polish, follows hot on the heels of ZDF Enterprises’ other, recently announced, children’s sales to Latin America, Asia and Iberia.
Peter Lang, Vice President ZDFE.junior, ZDF Enterprises, said: "Our strategy was to build one of the most extensive children’s catalogues for the international market. We achieved that ambition with 20,000 episodes now available in 25 different languages, enabling us to serve customers in every corner of the globe. From Russian and Spanish to Mandarin and Arabic, a vast range of our top children’s titles are localised and ready for broadcast."
Young Polish audiences will be able to enjoy entertaining animated series such as Lexi and Lottie (26 x 24’), Inui (52 x 7’), Four and a Half Friends (26 x 26’) and The Adventures of the Young Marco Polo (26 x 25’). Live action titles included in the package are The Bureau of Magical Things (S2, 20 x 25’), which follows the adventures of Kyra and her magical powers, and Find Me in Paris (52 x 26') about a Russian Princess, from a bygone era, who is studying at the Paris Opera Ballet School and accidentally time travels to present day.
