The beloved dance and entertainment show hosted by Milly Carlucci returns with its fifthteen edition, airing from today, Saturday 19 September, as usual in the Rai1’s Saturdays prime time slot.
Ballando con le Stelle is the Italian version of BBC Studios hit format Strictly come Dancing, first aired on BBC One in 2004. Strictly has won 31 awards since it launched and has been sold to over 40 territories internationally - under the title Dancing with the Stars - by BBC Worldwide.
The show features a group of celebrities from the world of entertainment and sport who, pairing with professional dancers, must learn to dance, performing during each episode in ballroom dances of different types. Each couple is scored by a panel of judges.
In recent years, Ballando con le Stelle, in contrast with all international editions, has had a significant rating increasing. The Italian adaptation has for years become the reference for all his other counterparts aired in the world: the dancer for a night, the surprises, the staging, social votes, the challenges with relatives, as well as the tournament "Ballando con Te" with ordinary people are original content of the Italian edition.
The couples of Ballando con le Stelle 15 are: Barbara Bouchet with Stefano Oradei; Ninetto Davoli with Ornella Boccafoschi; Lina Sastri with Simone Di Pasquale; Paolo Conticini with Veera Kinnunen. Daniele «King Toretto» Scardina with Anastasia Kuzmina; Antonio Catalani with Tove Villfor; Vittoria Schisano with Marco De Angelis; Elisa Isoardi with Raimondo Todaro; Costantino della Gherardesca with Sara Di Vaira; Gilles Rocca with Lucrezia Lando; Tullio Solenghi with Maria Ermachkova; Alessandra Mussolini with Mykael Fonts; Samuel Peron with Rosalinda Celentano.
