ITV Studios’ quiz show Beat The Chasers, the newest member of the hugely popular The Chase family, premiered in Australia last night on Channel 7. The launch episode was off to a good start, with over 1 million viewers nationally (660.000 in the five metro capitals), becoming the second top entertainment program behind The Block. It’s fair to say that Beat The Chasers held the Australian audience captive, and gears up for a successful first season.

For this fast-paced quiz show, the five chasers, famous for their appearance in the quiz show The Chase join forces! From an eager audience, we select one contestant after the other. Each contestant goes head-to-head against The Chasers and tries to win a big cash prize. The question is… is it possible to beat the best quizzers in the country - all by yourself?
