KBS, iQiyi, Youku pick up Flame docs

KBS, iQiyi, Youku pick up Flame docs
South Korean pubcaster KBS and Chinese VoD platforms iQiyi, Youku and Huanxi Media have picked up unscripted series and specials from Sydney- and London-based factual sales house Flame Distribution.

KBS has acquired 1×57’ doc Greta Thunberg: The Voice of the Future. From Entertain Me Productions, the doc examines how the Swedish teenager went inspired a global movement in the fight against climate change.

In China, iQiyi has licensed a selection of docuseries, specials and shorts from Flame, including Billionaire Wonderland, How Not to Get Cancer and #Beasts, while Alibaba Group-owned Youku has picked up Kismet ProductionsFood Safari Earth (13×30’).

Huanxi Media, meanwhile, has licensed 50-and-a-half hours of content for its SVoD platform. This includes a package of biographies and docs produced by Entertain Me Productions, such as Ariana Grande: State of Mind (1×60’), Elvis: The Men Who Knew Him Best (1×120’), Freddie Mercury: The Ultimate Showman (1×60’), Harry & Meghan: When Two Became Three (1×60’), Alien Autopsy: The Search for Answers (4×60’) and Hollywood’s Dark Secret (1×60’).
