Beat the Channel and There’s Something About Movies nominated for 2020 Rose d’Or Awards
Hit entertainment format Beat the Channel, distributed by Red Arrow Studios International, has been nominated for a Rose d’Or Award in the Studio Entertainment category.

Celebrity panel show There’s Something About Movies, produced by CPL Productions and Motion Content Group for Sky One in the UK, is also nominated in the best Studio Entertainment category.

The winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony streamed on Rosedor.com on December 9, and hosted by comedian Nish Kumar.

Earlier this year Beat the Channel picked up two awards at this year’s International Format Awards, for Best Brand Driven Format and Best Studio-Based Format.

Created and produced by Florida Entertainment for ProSieben in Germany, Beat the Channel is a high-energy, noisy and totally original concept in which two popular TV presenters are given the chance to win a 15-minute live broadcast slot, where anything goes. The show recently ended a successful fourth season on ProSieben and the format has been sold to territories including France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Middle East.

Season Three of There’s Something About Movies, once again hosted by comedian Alan Carr and joined by team captains Jennifer Saunders and Michael Sheen, is currently airing on Sky One in the UK.
